What's up?

Hi there! I was thinkin' (yep, I really did ), since we have this topic in german diskusion, we must have something like english off topic as well. My German is really poor, but english is love I love this language. Thanks to Supernatural Im learning english almost every day...So what do you think? What language is better or harder? When did you start to learn english?

English is much much easier than German. I started learn when I was maybe 4-5 years old but real English i have for like 8 years, i guess. i love this language. it sounds so good. btw nothing really interesing what's up to me, what about you?

I love English, but if I´m nervous, I twist words. But I hope this situation will be better soon.
Should be because I really want to speak fluently.

all of us want to speak fluently but this twisting words is totally normal and i guess that it's gonna always be our problem in English, especially when we are nervous or hurry. however, my biggest problem are times. that is so confusing.....but it's getting better, fortunately. and thanks sn my understanding is pretty good (oh G I wonder why?-dabing :DD ach never) and you know, i am so patient that i can wait for subtitles right? lol no way

i guess i started with english in the 1st grade, but i'm not sure about it...
dion-fortune: don't even speak about tenses...i hate them...i never say the right one
but my biggest problem are articles...sometimes i don't have them where they should be, but i have them where they shouldn't be :oops: (so sorry for my articles)
hey, does anyone of you have any accent??? i'm just wondering, if it's just me who has texan accent because when i had my presentation (btw, about spirits and demons ) my friend nearly died by laughing, she told me it was because i was talking like jensen

hi, I definitely love English more than German...well, I HATE German, it's so..*cenzure*..language(I'm sorry for my post), but it's my opinion...
And I'm sorry for my english too, because I learn this language 1.year. I know: whaaaatttt??? 1.year ,but it's truht, I swear so, if I will be write stupid things, so don't be angry and correct me please...

df: well, my original accent is typical american, but sometimes when i am reading aloud i say something in british accent, which i really don't like...even our american teacher looked at me with what's-wrong-with-you look when i said "tournament" in typical british

but i guess that it's nice that you actually have an accent. I am in America for almost five months and my accent is still not good-well i don't like it, but whatever. I sound better now and i can't actually do something about it but anyway, americans love our accent so what's the problem? isn't it enough that we know english?i guess that's really important and not our accent-unfortunately, my teacher disagree with me in this:(

don't worry, you will have an accent, sooner or later...and who cares what teachers think??? you just have to speak correctly and some accent is just a bonus...
honestly, it's really awesome having an accent, but since my speaking and grammar are awful, it means nothing...

well, sometimes it's okay, but for example in our english lesson today i tried, i guess, 5 kinds of tense and our teacher started laughing because none of them was right really funny...

yeah that sometimes happend to me too-it's so not cool

wrong tenses.... It happens very often to me. When I got explenation... I understand but before I get it... It is one big mystery in tenses

well...i have 3 favourite words: awesome, awkward and awful...i dunno why, but i just love them...
and what about words you don't like?
i absolutely hate a lot of british words, like autumn, crisps or charming...

hmm i don't like word comfortable-i prefer comfy but i just remind that i also love when they say do do - that's awesome.

yeah, do do is absolutely perfect...i totally love when one of the boys say do do, they are so cute...

I don´t know..I like many English words... do do is perfect and Take it easy isn´t bad. cucumber...that was my favourite word when I was younger.

yeah i'm gonna call my child- my little cucumber a when the boys say do do that's awesome, e.g. on paley event hmm take it easy is nice too.

and my favourite word is - absolutely - and when Jensen says that..... it´s so cute and nice :sunny:

Lol, cucumber.... lol, pls, stop killing me, this is my most funniest word in my vocab. I dunno why, but my favorite word is " Butterfly".....Flying butter....lol and on the other side my not so much favorite word is " appreciate"....I hate this word.... Well, gr8 idea put on here this eng. topic...
